WYCHWOOD FOREST

Amy Robsart died on the 8th of September 1560, her neck broken. Robert Dudley, her husband, was widely suspected to have orchestrated his wife's demise. Soon after her death, she appeared to him while he was hunting in Wychwood Forest, dying 10 days after from a terrible illness. It is said anyone who sees her befalls a similar fate.

There is a legend of a trickster demon that lives in these woods. This legend is said to come from the sight of a small flame flickering through the woodland, caused by self-igniting gases from decaying plants.

The demon takes great delight in making travelers lose their way.

OUR EXPERIENCE

We have found Wychwood forest to be quite a unique location. Each time we visit we get the feeling of being watched and all our equipment seems to break; making for quite an expensive ghost hunting trip.

Lots of this equpment we had to re-buy. There isnt really any explanation that we can think of other than pointing to the paranormal “trickster demon”.

Penn and Jake also happened to both spot a figure in the trees at the same time. Upon both drawing what they saw, this is what they got.
