THE SPIRIT BOX

The Spirit Box is a modified radio that sweeps through all radio frequencies. The idea is that various spitis, (mostly Interactive Personalities) can communicate through these boxes by manipulating these frequences or holding onto particular stations as they sweep.

The concept of the Spirit Box seems to suffer heavily from listener bias. If you know there is the spirit of a monk, then all of a sudden you may start thinking you hear more religious talk through the box.

This being said. It is very strange when comparing Spirit Box results to how it behaves outside of an investigation.

Spirit Box 1

Our first Spirit Box that served us well; it eventually busted at Wychwood Forest, where almost all of our equpment broke in one night. Coincidence?

This Spirit Box was a modified radio, built by AppyDroid on Etsy.

Spirit Box 2

Our second Spirit Box that we are still using now.

Unlike our first Spirit Box, this was built with the explicit purpose of being used by ghost hunters. This is the first edition of this particular Spirit Box.

The latest ones are sold on GhostStop

OUR EXPERIENCE

The best Spirit Box evidence we have captured is at Camlet Moat and Woods. Were were so taken aback by how quick an consistently accurate the results were that we almost ran out of things to say. It even got annoyed when we started messing around.

At at Old Thundridge Church Tower, we got many names of the deceased children who died during a particularly bad cold snap. This is alonside timely EMF responses and answers on how they died.

At Box Hill we got both the name and day of someone who had died there recently. Names are protected out of respect to the individual and the family.

At The Ancient Ram Inn, we seeminly had a chat with the previous owner, affectionately nicknamed - “Rambo” .

At the Huxley Private Residence, we got the names of a certain  Stacy and Lindsey who were seemingly in pain.
