COMBE DOWN TUNNEL
Built in 1874, Combe Down Tunnel was the longest, unventilated train tunnel in Britain. Because of this, the crew of a freight train passed out with the fumes, killing 3 people.
Once it was back open, people began hearing phantom train sounds and seeing visions of the dead.
OUR EXPERIENCE
Perhaps all the ghosts here were on a train vacation - because we came back with nothing.
The biggest takeaway from this location was how peaceful it is being this far underground, it was absolutely silent.
