BAGLEY WOOD EXPERIENCE

BAGLEY WOOD

On the night of 25 April 1327, the Mayor of Oxford led a riot of ‘burgesses and scholars’ through Bagley Wood where they burnt the abbey tenants’ houses and carried off the prior, Robert de Halton, to Bagley Wood where they threatened to behead him unless he did their will.

People have been known to see the apparition of monks between the trees.

Walking through the woods after dusk, a couple found themselves chased by a large shadowy quadruped that stood just over a meter tall. One of the witnesses said it did not move like a deer or a dog.

The woods used to be quite lawless, with highwaymen robbing and killing passers-by. Some have seen the spirit of a phantom highwayman still gallop through the woods atop a white horse.

OUR EXPERIENCE

By far one of the most active places we have visited!

Crossing the bridge over the A34 into Bagley Wood, we were all greeted with a sense of unease and dread. Almost immediately, Penn and Baxter heard "sighing" nearby.

Soon after that, they both saw a white figure dart through the trees. Many more unnerving sounds followed, including a loud, breathy growl heard by all.

At one point, we were cornered by unexplained noises from every direction we could go.

We decided to leave, however on the way back to the car we had big spikes on the EMF, which appeared to answer questioning.

Our second visit to Bagley we happened across a figure moving through the trees that shows up on video!

This is the best ghost evidence we have to date.
