AVEBURY STONES

In the 14th century the church encouraged villagers to topple and break the megaliths. Angered by the villagers, spirits enacted their revenge, cursing those who tried to destroy the stones; resulting in one man being crushed by the largest stone.


It sits close to The Red Lion, a haunted pub; and it isn’t uncommon to hear of the ghosts from the pub venturing into the surrounding stones - look no further than “Most Haunted”.

OUR EXPERIENCE

He had a lot of EMF here, but it did not correlate to any of our investgations; it seemed to be peaking at random then going silent.

Penn tried shoving one of the stones but no bad luck befell them. (They didn’t even get crushed).

No druid-monks, but we did find this rather horrifying spider.
